General Nursing and Midwifery or GNM is a three Years long diploma course, that can be pursued by the students willing to make their career In clinical nursing. It deals with the education of nurses in general health care, nursing, and midwifery. Nursing being an important part of the health care system, promotes mental health and prevention of illness. This course focuses on subjects such as anatomy and physiology, behavioural sciences midwifery , gynecological nursing, etc. During this course, students learn to deal with patients and assist doctors and help them develop skills to work efficiently in a hospital environment and provide first aid, monitor blood pressure ,etc.
Duration – 3 years
Eligibility – Senior Secondary (10+2) with minimum 40% and English as a compulsory subject.
Age of entrance should be 17 to 35 years.
